"The journey started when I left Brisbane and got to stop over in Sydney to see the vivid light show. Thank you Ash for showing me the sites. I got up bright an early to the airport to start the long trip to the USA. The plane was delayed an hour which was a worry as I still had two other connections to make. Let’s just say the plane ride to LAX was not the most comfortable, and when I finally landed it was almost 2-3 hours to get through customs and I was going to miss my next flight to Atlanta. I was just lucky that flight was delayed too, but that means I would have 10 mins when I landed in Atlanta to get my bags and catch the third flight to Fort Myers. It was a shock when I got to the Atlanta International Airport and saw it was huge, and that I had to catch a train to the other side to grab my bags. Once I arrived to the terminal, I could see that my flight to Fort Myers had left, so the crew at Delta were great and got me on the next flight. I landed finally after 40 hours around 10 pm Sunday night where my good mate Bobby Cardone was waiting.
Monday we jumped in the car and went to JP Racing. It was fantastic to spend a few hours there meeting the team, seeing the workshop, and picking up my ski. Thanks JP for getting it ready and all your support.
Got to meet some of Bobby's mates throughout the day, then I went live Monday night on the 239 Raceboat show with Bobby which was amazing! The amount of work Bobby puts in and all the equipment used is remarkable. I am not used to being in front of the camera, but it was fun.
Got to go with TJ on Wednesday to the ocean and then visit the Sandbar and Tiki Grille.
The jet lag and time zone difference, plus the humidity has set in and my sleep pattern has me falling asleep mid-afternoon, but I am sure I will adjust soon.
Looking forward to Saturday as we are going riding with Troy and Tory Snyder which will be good preparation for the following race weekend at P1.
Keep an eye out for us on 239RaceBoat in case Bobby goes live this Saturday!"
