Travel Blog - Team Rider Bailey Cunningham "In the first Moto I was waiting for a flag to drop and missed the start but was able to claw back a few good places and was having some battles a long the way. I struggled reading the back straight as waves seemed to come from all direction and then just drop into huge holes. We have enduro races in Australia, but not offshore so this made for something new which I enjoyed finishing the first Moto 16th.
Second Moto, well the ocean got aggressive and I don’t think it liked having 50’riders on it at once because it turned into an aggressive washing machine. I got a good start and was inside the top 10 but a wave put an end to that and I lost a few positions but pushed on picking up more places throughout the race. I have raced Thailand multiple times and this was nothing like I had raced in ever and it was hard work, by the end of the race I had got to 14th and now missing skin on my hands and a very sore backside, the new Riva seat cover worked well but let’s say I didn’t enjoy that new grippy feeling it left after the race.
The JP Racing prepared Seadoo RXPX didn't miss a beat which was fantastic! Thanks to Bobby and TJ for getting my ski to the race meet ready to race and was nice to put a real face to a name and meet Darryl from PWC Muscle.
Going into the third moto was similar to the second Moto as race conditions became a huge washing machine, but again I had a good start and was battling in the top 10 with Dennis Mac and Eric Legopoulos which was an awesome experience on its own. I am now looking forward to Daytona Beach with my parents coming over and then St Pete’s to finish out the P1 experience.
I will fly to Texas next week for a month and race with Jettribe and Nauti Water which I am so pumped about."
