Travel Report: Changwon Korea Motorboat Grand Prix [Tim Hickman - USA]
Posted by Tim Hickman on 30th Mar 2023
Recently 5 Jettribe Team Riders had the opportunity to travel to Korea to represent Jettribe and our Jettribe Korea partners for the 2023 Changwon Motorboat Grand Prix. Each racer represented a different country in the Pro-Am Runabout Superstock class. Here is a trip report from USA Team Rider Tim Hickman:
Prior to even arriving to Korea, I noticed how nice and genuine the people were over there through the messages they had been sending us for us to prepare properly.
This experience was cultural, and very cool to experience how they race in Korea, along with other countries that also attended. The motor boat Grand Prix Racing Federation were extremely organized and put a lot of work and thought into this event, and it showed. Every racer, and every worker was very genuine and wanted to help in anyway possible.
The hotels we stayed at were extremely nice, and the schedule that they had assigned to travel across the country for the races and get us to our hotels was perfect.
The Korean culture is very interesting, and was very cool to see the ways that they live their life. I look forward to racing over there again with people I can now call my friends and experience even more.
Big thank you to the USA and Korean Jettribe Team that helped us through the whole trip. Without them this wouldn’t have been possible.
