Product Designer
Looking for a design professional that must have a good eye for the vision and concepts of product development. The Product Designer must create products that are manufacturable, scalable, and sustainable on a global market. Designs must be reflective on the 25 year history of the brand, but also relevant to current and future trends in the powersports industry.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspire and create innovative soft goods and power sport products across all existing domestic and global emerging markets.

Able to balance creative direction, business and design in a fast-paced environment.

Evolve with global style, material, and aesthetics of product lines while maintaining a creative product that follows and evolves the overall brand direction and culture.

Develop and execute distinctive and new customer specific product lines.

Ensure design consistency and accuracy to communicate product specifications to build thoroughly and effectively.

Interact with the Sales Team, Design Director, and Product Development Director to create trending, sellable products that are scalable and sustainable.

Possess an acute understanding of the competitive international arena.

Harness sub contract designers for maximum efficiencies.

Continuously research the power sport lifestyle via online, observation research, attending events, ride groups, forums, and shows.

Recognize products that have long term lifespans for B2B, B2C, ecommerce platform, mass retailer, and OEM sales.

Work closely with account directors and clients to determine the product line for each account & participate in the brainstorming process.

Prepare and communicate art direction as needed from global clients and domestic clients.

Hypersensitive on cultural nuances when developing products.

Communicate with factories on prototypes, materials sourcing, trims, packaging, POP, etc.

Keep up to date on industry trends, lifestyle, culture, identity, growth, demographics, and changing regulations affecting power sport segments and market activity.

Work closely with the graphics team, import subcontractors, raw material sourcing, and cut and sew factories in order to present the design projects completed on time and a timeline from concepts to store shelves.

Aid in preparing product presentations for Sales Team based on market targeted segments.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors or related degree from a 4 year accredited University preferred. BA in Industrial design and minor in graphics.

Candidates must have 2-3 years experience in product development / design, preferably inside of power sport, surf & skate, board sport, kite surfing, wakeboarding, etc.

Candidates must be capable of managing multiple projects at once with tight deadlines in an extremely fast paced work environment.

Prior experience in soft goods product line development is a must.

Must have general awareness of the retail market, pricing, and perceived value.

Must be a motivated self-starter.

Must be able to work both autonomously and in a team setting.

Ability to communicate with top management, clients, team members, overseas factories, foreign clients, and local consumers.

Must possess an obsession for detail, quality, consumer-centric, commercial design mentality that brings the best in quality, innovative, producible, scalable, and cost effective product to the consumer's hands.

Proficient in Office Programs (Word, Excel, MS Outlook and etc.)

Able to work with “Monday.com” online workspace

Proficient in Corel Draw, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
